Registration
The Registration Date has been extended!
To register, complete the following forms and turn them in to the Library Circulation Desk on either campus:
- Registration Form
- Liability Waiver
Audience and Suggested Themes
Create a video that would attract prospective college students to Gainesville State College. What do you like best about GSC? Go with that! Here are some suggestions:
- Academic Excellence
- Excellent Technology
- Small Class Size and Caring/Attentive Faculty and Staff
- ACTT Center/Library, Tutoring and Other Academic Success Resources
- Intramurals, Clubs, and Organizations
Length
Videos must not exceed three (3) minutes in length.
Submissions
All videos must be turned in to the Library Circulation Desk (Gainesville or Oconee) on a DVD or CD ROM data disk in either of the following formats:
- MOV
- AVI (no DVIX or XVID)
Deadline for video submissions is 3 p.m. on September 14, 2009.
IMPORTANT: An Image/Voice Waiver must be signed by each participant whose image or voice appears in the video. Return the forms along with the final DVD.
Prizes
Entries will be judged based on creativity, video quality, and attention to content requirements.
Teams: We realize that videos may be created by a team and not an individual. Please note that 1st and 2nd place prizes will be awarded to the student who registers for the competition. That student is responsible to distributing the prizes to team members.
