Paid Summer Broadcasting Internship

WEIU-TV, on the campus of Eastern Illinois University, offers a paid summer internship program with real broadcast experience on a national award-winning newscast. Through this program, students will work full-time to prepare, create and deliver the news on an award-winning newscast in the 82nd television market.
 
The internship is paid and provides: free apartment housing, three blocks from the station, weekly cash stipend, a two-week intensive training session in May, experience working in an all-Avid news environment, opportunities to work on-air through August, training alongside a veteran news director, with nearly 20 years experience in broadcast news, a great professional development opportunity and an incredible chance to build your resume portfolio.
 
Positions available in the internship program include: news anchor, weather anchor, sports anchor, reporter, writer, producer, videographer, editor, assignment editor.
