New Transfer, Transients, and Re-Admits

Transfer Students who have been accepted for Summer 2013 include those who have previously attended another college or university and are registering for GSC classes for the first time.  Note: Transfer students with fewer than 20 transferable credit hours must attend new student orientation in order to register for classes.

Transient Students who have been accepted for Summer 2013 include those who currently claim another college or university as their "home institution" and are attending GSC for just one semester.

Re-admitted Students who have been accepted for Summer 2013 include those who have been absent from GSC for three or more consecutive semesters (including summer).

Academic Advisement

Once you have been accepted to GSC, you may meet with a professional academic advisor to plan your schedule.  To make an appointment, contact the Academic Advising Center

Gainesville Campus:  678-717-3791
Oconee Campus:  706-310-6214

You may also make an appointment with your assigned faculty or staff advisor by contacting him or her via Banner Web.  Go to Student Services Menu, Student Records, then Student TRANGUID to locate the e-mail address for your assigned academic advisor.  If your advisor uses the online scheduling system, Appointment Plus, the link to sign up for an appointment will also be viewable from your Student Tranguid.  Alternately, you may go to the Faculty Directory to locate the building and office number of your advisor.  An advisement sign up sheet may be posted on your advisor's office door.
