Welcome to the GSC Tournament website!  The Gainesville State College Math Tournament is held in the spring of each year. The competition features both individual and team events involving problems from calculus, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and algebra.  The tournament is an all day event at the GSC campus in Gainesville, Georgia. Students enrolled in a two-year college or a college with only a two year mathematics degree program, who have never been enrolled in any math course above the sophomore level, are eligible to participate.

EARLY REGISTRATION  DEADLINE: Saturday, March 21, 2009. Registration material must be postmarked by this date. 
FEE: $20 per student.  (This includes lunch.)

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, March 27, 2009. Registration material must be received no later than this date. 
FEE: $30 per student.

LAST DAY FOR A FULL REFUND: Friday, March 27, 2009.  After 3pm, Friday, March 27, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.    Registration may be transferred to a student other than the original student that is registered.

LUNCH FEE: Lunch is included in the cost of registration.  Sponsors will eat free.

PRIZES (Board of Regents Policy requires a Social Security number or a Tax ID number for someone to receive a check.  Students that do not have a SS # or a Tax I.D. number will not receive a cash prize.)

Morning Individual Competition:
        1st Place:    $400
        2nd Place:   $200
        3rd Place:    $100
        4th Place:    $50
        5th Place:    $25
               

Afternoon Team Competition: (prizes are for each winning team member)
        1st Place:   $40 gift certificate.
        2nd Place:  $30 gift certificate.
        3rd Place:   $20 gift certificate.
        4th Place:   $10 gift certificate.
