The Organization of American Historians is the largest learned society devoted to the study of American history.  The homepage for the organization has links for publications and activities.

The American Historical Association Teaching and Learning website contains information about teaching a variety of historical and cultural aspects, including “Discovering American Social History on the Web.”

The Georgia Historical Society’s home page provides links for education programs, a collection list, and publications.

The Secretary of State website, Documenting Family History in Georgia, provides information about how to begin documenting a family history.  The site contains links for government records, how to conduct home-based research, and electronic resources.

The Library of Congress' American Memory website is a treasure trove of primary sources.  The section entitled Learning Page contain great lesson plans and activities in using American Memory in a variety of settings.
