- Transferring can be highly individualized. The Advising Center encourages all students to start communicating with intended senior institutions early. It is ultimately your responsibility to be positive classes will transfer, that you are following the correct program of study at GSC, etc. Keep in mind that Admissions and the Registrar's Office at the RECEIVING institution have the final say on how classes transfer.
If you would like assistance gathering the correct questions to ask the first couple of times you call or email your senior university, please make an appointment with the Academic Advising Center (see FAQ "How do I make an appointment in the Academic Advising Center?"). For basic information, please plan to attend the Counseling and Career Services College Transferring Workshop held once every semester and the Transfer Probe Event held every Spring, both only on the Gainesville Campus. If you cannot attend either of the transfer events, please contact Career Services to set up an appointment to discuss transferring.
