GSCWO Meeting July 19, 2006

A potluck lunch was held in the AV room of the Hosch Library and the new officers were introduced to the members.  Dr. Martha Nesbitt was our speaker.  A business meeting was held.  The first motion to remove the AAWCC from our By-laws was made by Pat Guthrie, seconded by Ray Lynn Snowden and was passed.  Next, a motion was made to charge non-members $5 for GSCWO trips.  The money would then be applied toward membership, should that be desired.  This motion was made by Donna Kindon and seconded by Teresa Leckie and was also approved. 

Other business:  A Membership Drive will be held till October 31^st.  The member with the most referrals will receive a “prize” for her diligent recruiting of new members.  Also, Tricia Bunker made a request for members to form a membership committee.

We extend a special “Thank you” to Ruby Curry and Rebecca Homan for setting up the room and decorating the tables with table cloths and fresh flowers.  Beth Wheeler was the door prize winner.
