Academic Scholarships for Physical Education Majors

 Available for the 2008-09 School Year

Each year Health, Wellness and Physical Education offers an opportunity for those students who illustrate academic achievement to apply for scholarships.  To qualify for the Health, Wellness and Physical Education Scholarships, the student must have declared a major in Health and Physical Education, Exercise Science, or Sports Management.  A minimum GPA of 3.3 and an SAT of 950 are preferred for the scholarships.  Interested students may pick up an application in the Health, Wellness and Physical Education office (Room 103, Hugh Mills Physical Education Complex) or at the Oconee campus see Dr. Amy Reeder or click here to download the application.  The application for the 2008-09 year must be received by MARCH 24, 2008.

**Note: Scholarships have yet to be awarded for the 2007-08 school year.  Your first opportunity to apply for a scholarship will be during the Spring semester of 2007.  Click here for  PE application.

Selection Process

The Division's Scholarship Committee has responsibility to advertise, develop an appropriate application form, set due date deadlines and collect the applications.  Recommendations for this award should be sought from, but not solely from, the education faculty members.
