(*)Must complete with C or better two courses in the same foreign language before beginning professional sequence. May exempt by examination (if available). An accelerated course may count as two regular courses.
A 2.75 gpa is required to enter the teacher education program. However, the number of students is limited and those with the highest gpa's are admitted first. Further, a passing grade on the GACE test or minimum verbal and math SAT scores (minimum scores of 520 in math and 480 in verbal) must be met. Area F courses must be passed with a grade of "C" or better.
Must take Math 5001 the semester prior to entry into the Teacher Ed Progam
Must Document 50 hours of pre-professional experience and submit a pre-professional portfolio.
Les than 12 hours of course work can remain outside of block courses.
Spanish is the language of choice.

(*)Must be proficient in a foreign language at the 1002 level. Span is preferred. Students completing their Associates at GSC are not required to take a language but will be ultimately disadvantaged if they do not.

*University System of Georgia transfer agreement Area F requirements: Educ 2000, Psyc 2103, Sped 2100 plus 9 additional hours in support of the major. (It is expected that students will take one
additional Stat or Math course beyond what is taken in Area A. The Stat or Math course may be taken in Area D or F. ) Area F requirements will change effective Fall 2007.
Upon completion of the Associate of Science Degree, a transfer student cannot be required by a System senior institution to take any more hours than required for a degree by that particular
institution.
