Child Care Resource & Referral Agency of NE GA Training Policies

·         Pre-Registration is required!  Enrollment is on a first-come first-served basis.

·         Enrollment will NOT be processed until payment is received.

·         Fees will NOT be collected at the time of class.

·         Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the class. If you arrive later than 15 minutes after the start time of the class, you may not be allowed to enter.  Neither refunds nor credit will be granted.

·         Children are NOT allowed in training sessions.

·         Participants must attend the entire length of the scheduled class and may be asked to participate and/or demonstrate a basic understanding of the material to receive credit for the course.

·         CEU credits may be provided for an additional fee.  Participants must notify the CCR&R  three (3) business days prior to the training for CEU processing.
 

Cancellations:  If you must cancel, please notify the CCR&R by phone/fax at least three (3) working days before the course begins. You will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be given on cancellations made within three (3) working days of the course date. If the CCR&R cancels the course, you will receive a full refund.  Classes are subject to cancellation if there is not an adequate response.  In general, there must be a minimum of ten (10) participants in order to hold a class.  Class cancellation is determined at least three (3) days BEFORE the class is scheduled to be held.  All participants will be notified by phone/email and/or mail. 

Substitutions:  You may substitute one student for another if you notify the CCR&R by phone/fax/email at least three (3) working days before the course begins. Substitutions will not be granted within three (3) working days of the course and no refunds will be given.

Transfers: You may transfer to the exact same class (or the price equivalent) if you notify the CCR&R by phone/fax/email at least three (3) working days before the course begins. The class to which you transfer must be already scheduled. Transfer requests made within three (3) working days of the course starting date will not be granted and no refund will be given.

Smart Art
Experience hands on activities which allow children to express their own ideas and concepts.  Participants will be introduced to the concepts of “process” vs. “product” and the developmental stages of drawing, and painting that are related to early writing skills. Participants will be given resources for free internet art ideas and materials in handout form.

Let the Music Out|
Explore through hands on activities the joys of music and movement and how to be a “guide” for dramatic play activities.  Participants will be made aware of all of the developmental areas that music can develop.  Resources including transitions activities, teacher idea books. prop boxes for dramatic play, CD’s, finger plays and “piggyback” songs will be available for review.  Participants will need to bring their own boxes (1-Xerox paper size or smaller) for the prop box activity.  Cameras to photograph items made by participants during this workshop are suggested.

It’s A Small World—Families, Cultures and Communities in the New Millennium
Developing a classroom community where children are offered opportunities and materials to explore social roles in the family and at school/daycare through play.  Participants will be exposed to activities and resources that provide an environment of acceptance that supports and respects gender, culture, home language, ethnicity and family composition of every child in ways that support each child’s well being, health and the development of a positive emerging sense of self and others in no stereotypical ways.  Also included will be the stages and activities for the many stages of second language acquisition.
