a Child Care AwareŽ Quality Assured Consumer Education    and Referral Service

Child Care Resource and Referral Agency, a project of Gainesville State College, is a telephone referral service for parents looking for child care in the Northeast Georgia area.  It is a central source of information about child care in the thirteen-county area of Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White.

We refer to:

  • Family child care homes
  • Group homes
  • Child care centers
  • Pre-schools and mother's mornings out
  • After school care
  • Summer camp programs
  • Respite care

We know that child care is a very important family decision.  Our goal is to help parents make the best choices for their children.

We believe that the best choice for any child will be a very personal decision which should reflect the parents' values and expectations and meet the child's individual and developmental needs.  Parents can, and should, choose the plan that is best for their child.

This project is funded by Bright from the Start:  Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning through the Federal Child Care Development Grant and Gainesville State College.
