Mission

The Office for Diversity Initiatives and Intercultural Relations is committed to the personal and professional development of International Students. Our mission is to educate GSC students, staff and faculty about internationalism by promoting awareness of culturally diverse issues through programs, workshops and events.

The Coordinator for International Student Services, through the Office for Diversity Initiatives and Intercultural Relations, coordinates an orientation program to provide new F-1 international students with information about campus resources and responsibilities related to their visa status; coordinates, in conjunction with a sociology faculty person, a cultural buddy program to promote intercultural relations; and advises the International Student Association, a campus organization whose mission is to promote awareness of international cultures and issues.

Walk-in

Mondays 11am-12pm and Tuesdays 4pm-5pm (except for holidays, February 6th,7th & 20th) each week through Friday, May 4th. No walk-in hours are available during finals. Please email tcheeks@gsc.edu for an appointment.
