For
Fall 2008
Important
The Oconee Campus is not able to accommodate all the students
accepted at GSC who indicate a preference to attend the Oconee
Campus.
GSC encourages students not to sign any leases in the
Athens/Watkinsville area until after they have registered.
Please check
here to view the availability of courses for the
fall 2008 terms at the Oconee Campus. Those students
who prefer to attend the Oconee Campus are encouraged to enroll in
course sections at the Gainesville Campus or the Winder Center once
sections at the Oconee Campus are full.
Accepted New First-time Freshmen
New Freshmen (those who have NEVER attended college) who have
applied and been accepted by the
Admissions Office will receive information in the mail
about SOAR (Student Orientation, Advisement, and Registration). New
Freshmen are required to attend
SOAR in order to be advised and register for classes.
Transferring to GSC, returning to GSC , or transient students:
Fall 2008 Registration
There are 2 choices regarding advisement and registration for
Fall 2008 for those accepted students who are NOT new
first-time freshmen as indicated above:
- Self-Register (If eligible; students who cannot
self-register include those enrolled in Learning Support courses, on
Probation or Suspension, have CPC deficiencies, or Regents’ holds).
Login to your Banner Web account to see if you have any
restrictions. If you are not eligible to self-register, please
refer to option 2 below.
- Meet with an advisor for registration assistance at the
following time and location.

*You
should anticipate registering for some or all of your Fall semester,
2008, classes at the Gainesville Campus due to the limited
availability of classes at the Oconee Campus (
Oconee
Campus Classes).

Financial Aid Information

The Fall priority deadline is June 1. You must allow 8-12 weeks processing time for financial aid
applications and all other required documentation, so apply
early!

Students who are eligible for financial aid
and whose financial aid is processed by the fee payment deadline
will have any eligible aid applied to tuition/fees.

Students whose financial aid
applications/documentation are not processed by the fee payment
deadline must be prepared to pay tuition/fees. Students who are
eligible for aid will be reimbursed.

to determine if your financial aid has been processed. For
instructions on how to login to Banner and view your aid
