 Student Opinion Survey by ACT

This survey is often referred to as the Student Satisfaction Survey. It was prepared by the American College Testing (ACT), Inc. in cooperation with the University System of Georgia Office of Planning and Policy analysis. All 34 colleges and universities in the USG participated in the Student Opinion Survey. GC used the two-year college form (four-year colleges used the four-year form). The survey was first given in the fall of 1997, then again in the fall of 2001. The survey is done every four years.

The primary goal of the survey was to collect information that could be used to improve student satisfaction and student learning. The survey was designed to explore enrolled students' perceptions of their institution's programs and services. Specific items address student satisfaction with college services, facilities, rules, regulations, policies, academic issues, admissions and registration procedures, and other aspects of the institution's environment.
