An upper intermediate course in English for speakers of other languages designed to improve their academic reading and writing abilities and to enhance their academic vocabulary. Classroom situations involve students in practicing their skills in American spoken English.

Prerequisite: ESL placement or permission of instructor. Corequisites: ESLC 0061 and/or ESLO 1101, unless the oral communication component has already been satisfied.
