PART TIME PROJECT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

GAINESVILLE STATE COLLEGE

 

Position: Gainesville State College is currently accepting applications for part-time (19 hour per week) Project Support Specialist for the Office of Planning & Institutional Research (OPIR) on the Gainesville Campus.

 

SUMMARY

This position will support the planning and institutional research projects and initiatives that come from OPIR.  These include comprehensive program review and general education outcomes assessment, SACS preparation, multiple committees, internal assessment, capacity planning, the USG strategic plan and other system activities, annual and institutional reports, and working with academic and non-academic units.  The responsibilities related to this position focus on two areas: administrative support and managing spreadsheets/databases/data.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

·        Support committees by arranging meetings, preparing meeting packets, reserving rooms, emailing reminders, taking minutes, etc.

·        Support IR initiatives by:

o       Loading surveys into software

o       Entering data

o       Managing spreadsheets/databases

o       Disseminating reports

o       Scanning and organizing assessment documents

o       Providing administrative support for mail out surveys and other assessment projects

o       Working with departments and divisions to support their assessment activities

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  •  Baccalaureate degree preferred
  • Administrative support experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Professional (including Word, Excel, and Access)
  • A high level of organizational skills required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with faculty and staff (oral and written)
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective student groups, parents and the general public

 

SALARY

Anticipated Hiring Range:  $11.15 – 13.89 hourly rate.  Salary offered to successful candidate will be determined by relevant skills, education and experience.
