Assistant Director, Student Development & Enrollment Management
POSITION
DESCRIPTION: Under the
supervision of the Director, the Assistant Director will provide oversight and
coordination to the areas of registration and SOAR (Student Orientation,
Advisement, and Registration) for the Oconee Campus. Additionally, this position provides supervision
to the front desk enrollment staff as well as coordination of other programs
related to online and transfer orientation.
This is a 12-month staff position that requires some evening and weekend
hours associated with times related to student enrollment. The successful candidate will begin after
RESPONSIBILITIES:

In conjunction with relevant enrollment offices at both
campuses and in alignment with enrollment reports, strategically develop,
promote and implement registration procedures at the Oconee Campus.

Coordinate, implement and assess the SOAR (Student
Orientation, Advisement, and Registration) experience offered at the Oconee
Campus.
·
Develop and supervise a program for students to be SOAR
leaders.
·
According to procedures and knowledge of FERPA and other
related regulatory compliance mandates, respond appropriately to phone and
email inquiries regarding registration and SOAR at the Oconee Campus.
·
Ensure all webpages regarding
registration or SOAR at the Oconee Campus are accurate
and updated.
·
Develop, implement, update, and assess an online orientation
to GSC-Oconee.
·
Process all transient
permission requests received at the Oconee Campus.
·
Assist the Coordinator of Career/Transfer services with any
programs related to students transferring into GSC.
·
Accountable for purchasing and budget management for all
expenses and transactions related to areas of responsibility.
·
Supervision of front desk staff at the Oconee Campus.
·
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
·
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in
student personnel or related area. Preference will be given to candidates with
experience in higher education and knowledge of Banner and enrollment
processes.

Ability to multitask, maintain
confidentiality, and work as a part of a team in a leadership role.
·
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational,
problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills.
ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE:
$35,300-$44,200 annual rate. Salary offered to successful candidate
will be determined by relevant skills, education and experience.
