The TEP Program

Steve Blair & GC Student

Each year, incoming faculty are invited to participate in the Teaching Excellence Preparation Program (TEP Program). Faculty hired at the instructor or assistant professor level are required to participate in the program. The program is designed to enhance the level of instruction in the classroom and help new faculty integrate into the campus community, while starting them on the path of professional development. Participants in the program must complete an online course for faculty each semester and attend selected face-to-face workshops.  The fall semester online course is The Successful, Reflective College Teacher  and the spring semester course is Developing engaging on-site, on-line, and hybrid courses.  Those who successfully complete the program receive a $200 bonus added to their annual salary in their second year. A modified version of the TEP program is also open to adjuncts. Interested faculty should complete a registration form and return it to Sue Gittens by August 31.
