At the
heart of the
ACTT
Center
are its computers, which are available to the students,
faculty and staff of Gainesville State College any time the
ACTT Center is open. All the computers in the ACTT
Center, which include the adjacent computer classroom
(room #158), are connected to the campus computer
network, providing easy access to an extensive variety
of software, including library databases, tutorial
programs, word processing, data management programs, and
the Internet.
The ACTT Center also provides a wide range of
tutorial assistance through a combination of
professional and peer tutors in four labs: the Math Lab,
the Writing Center, the Foreign Language Lab, and the
ESL (English as a Second Language) Lab.
The ACTT Center provides Regents' Test remediation, a
testing room for the administration of make-up tests,
and areas for students to study in small groups and to
use various audio/visual materials supplemental to or
required by their courses.
