Open CLEP Testing Center
Gainesville State College is an open CLEP Testing Center. All CLEP examinations are administered on an appointment basis Monday through Friday. This test scheduling system provides the student the maximum amount of flexibility in scheduling an exam.
CLEP testing is available on both campuses. You must contact the Gainesville or Oconee Campus Testing Center approximately one week in advance of a proposed testing date.
All CLEP examinations are:
- Computer delivered exams,
- Have a 90 minute time limit, and
- Cost $97.00. This $97.00 fee is established by CLEP and is broken down into a $77.00 exam fee and a $20.00 testing site fee.
For more information regarding the CLEP program and official study guides, visit the official website at http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html
Cell phones are not permitted in the testing lab. Please leave your cell phone in your car or you may leave it in the Testing Center Office.
NOTE: If you do not pass a CLEP exam, you must wait at least six months before attempting that CLEP exam again.
A maximum of 30 semester hours of any combination of CLEP, DSST, AP, and IB credit may be recorded on a student’s academic record.
