The Special Needs Library depends on volunteers to help provide quality service to its patrons. Members of the Athens Kiwanis Club and others inspect and shelve all incoming books. Telephone Company Pioneers and others repair cassette machines and record players. Other volunteers record the weekly newspaper, assist with the daily mail, help mail newsletters to patrons, and occasionally record materials requested by patrons.
