The ACTT Center
The ACTT Center houses the largest number of computers on the Gainesville Campus, with over 140 computers for student use. The central lab includes 73 networked PCs which can print to black/white or color printers. Two scanners, one of which connects to a computer with assistive technology, are also available. When the central lab is full, students may use the computers in room 182 (The Foreign Language Lab) or in computer classroom 158 when classes are not in session. All of the computers in the ACTT Center provide access to the Internet and to the campus network, which has over 250 pieces of software, including Microsoft Office.
Library (Gainesville Campus)
The John Harrison Hosch Library is the second largest computer lab on the Gainesville Campus. The lab includes fifty-six computers capable of printing in color or black and white. Two scanners, one of which connects to a computer with assistive technology, are also available. The library permits limited guest access to the lab with a government issued photo ID.
Library (Oconee Campus)
The Oconee Library computer lab has a number of computer resources available for student, faculty and staff use. The lab includes thirty-one computers capable of printing in color or black and white. Five of these computers serve as the foreign language lab where students can complete online foreign language class activities. Twenty-four of the lab computers are set-up for workshops and classes with an instructor computer connected to a LCD projector. Finally, one computer is dedicated solely to searching the library catalog – GIL and two computers are attached to scanners for student use. The library computer lab provides access to the Internet, GALILEO, GIL, campus networks (home folders, shared class files, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe CS3 Suite.
