Tips for Faculty - Migrating and Saving Content
- Backup students' coursework in the current eLearning system (Blackboard Vista) after each semester. Instructors should also download their grade books from eLearning prior to the migration. For detailed instructions, here.
- Save a copy of large files, such as audio or video, to a media server or local disk as these may not migrate over.
- Check for illegal characters in filenames and courses. Illegal characters are #%&*{}\:<>?/+ Rename these files without use of the illegal characters.
- When a course is migrated from Bb to D2L, the content will come over in modules.
