  • Make connections.  Talk to your instructor if you do not understand a concept and contact your classmates to compare notes, review for tests, or discuss class activities and objectives.
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly goals and monitor your own progress toward those goals.
  • Focus. Focus. Focus.  Know your distractions and limit them.
  • Attend every class -- take notes, and listen for the main points.
  • Complete all of your assignments on time. 
  • Review before and after class
  • Explain a concept to a friend or in a study group.
  • Put tests and assignments in your planner.  Use your planner regularly
  • Make lists of daily, weekly, monthly, and semester goals. 
  • Complete this ACADEMIC SELF-ASSESSMENT, and understand what is stopping you from achieving success in college.
  • Understand your level of MOTIVATION to achieve
  • Gather information about resources and when to use them
