Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an internationally recognized program designed to help students get the grades they need and want in historically difficult courses. SI provides multiple weekly review sessions led by an SI facilitator – a student who as previously done well in the course at GSC. The SI Leader attends class with the students, takes notes with them, and even asks questions. So they know exactly what the instructors want to see in papers and on tests and what it will take to get a good grade in the course.
The sessions are:
-free,
-voluntary
-open to all students in the course!!
GSC students who have utilized SI have typically earned HALF A LETTER GRADE HIGHER then those who didn't use the program.
So when things in class aren't clicking, come to SI! We'd love to see you.
