Gainesville, GA., December 5, 2012 – Gainesville State College’s (GSC) Summer/Fall Graduation Ceremonies will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012, in the Hugh M. Mills Physical Education Complex on the Gainesville Campus at 10 AM and 2 PM.
Graduation candidates from the School of Business, Education, Health and Wellness will participate in the 10 AM ceremony.
Graduation candidates from the School of Humanities and Fine Arts, School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and School of Social Sciences will participate in the 2 PM ceremony.
A total of 507 Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science, Associate of Arts, Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science and Certificate candidates are eligible to participate in the ceremony. Students from both the Gainesville and Oconee Campuses will participate in the ceremonies.
This will be the final graduation under the name of Gainesville State College. The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia elected in January 2012 to consolidate Gainesville State College and North Georgia College & State University to enhance higher education and degree completion opportunities for Georgians. The consolidation is expected to become effective in January 2013.
The complete listing by hometown of bachelor, two-year, and certificate graduates will be released by hometown in the weeks following graduation.
