Job Title
Part-Time Instructor

Position Description
GSC continuously seeks qualified applicants to build its part-time intructor applicant resource pool to teach day and evening classes at each of its campuses (Gainesville and Oconee). New instructors are periodically needed to teach in all discipline areas on both the Gainesville and Oconee campuses.

Education
Applicants must have a master's degree including graduate-level courses (18 semester or 27 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline. (For example, Economics, Accounting, English, Math, Reading, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, etc.)

Desirable Skills
Ability to teach courses on the collegiate and/or developmental level. Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate learning.

Experience
College teaching experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
Position requires local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions.

Pre-Employment Requirements
Criminal History Check required.

Hours
Position may require non-standard work hours (nights and weekends).

Salary
Salary range for each course varies by discipline area and by the educational qualifications and experience of an instructor.
