Registration Procedures for Students enrolled Fall 2007 at the Oconee Campus

Oconee Registration Information - Spring/Summer 2009

Current (Returning) Students include those who attended GSC during at least one of the following semesters: Fall 2007, Spring 2008, or Summer 2008.

NOTE: Students not enrolled in GSC classes for three or more consecutive semesters must apply for re-admission before registering for classes.

Quick steps:

1. Check for registration restrictions and/or holds through Banner web. Students with holds will not be allowed to register. If a hold exists (for instance, having an overdue library book or parking ticket or lacking an immunization), resolve it immediately! Go to Banner web > Student and Financial Aid Menu > Check for Registration Times and Holds

2. Are you eligible to self-register?
Generally, those students who are in good academic standing and have no holds or registration restrictions can Self- Register (2, below) for classes through Banner web.

Students with a CPC, Learning Support, Probation, Suspension, or unsatisfied Regents’ Test status require Assisted Registration (3, below) and MUST meet with an academic or faculty advisor during Advising Weeks (1, below) to be eligible to register for courses.

3. Review the Schedule of Classes and Plan Your Semester.
Be sure to note the campus and CRN# of the courses you’re interested in. Not sure what to take? Ask your faculty advisor.

4. Register!
Check Banner web for the exact day/time you are allowed to pick-up classes (registration dates vary according to academic standing and credit hours earned). Go to Banner web > Student and Financial Aid Menu > Registration

Be sure to finish and submit your financial aid application(s) by the November 1^st priority deadline. And don’t forget to pay your fees by December 4, 2008!
