Ms. Stephanie Austin joined the Gainesville State College team in 2004.  Her previous USG experience was at The University of Georgia, where she worked  in the Legal Affairs Office.   Ms. Austin grew up in Elberton, GA.  She is a Gainesville State College graduate and has recently received her BA in Criminal Justice from Piedmont College.  Ms Austin has plans to attend the Graduate Program at Piedmont College where she will obtain a Master’s in Business Administration.  Ms. Austin is a Member of Sigma Chi Eta honor society, Omicron Psi National honor society, and a GSC Staff Council representative.  She has served on several campus committees including the Alternative Dispute Committee, GSC 40th Graduation Committee, and  Chair of the Staff Council By-laws Committee.  She spearheaded the 2004-2005 Secret Santa Project on the Oconee Campus and organized a can food drive in 2004.  She is a volunteer at the Project Safe Battered Women's shelter in Athens.  Ms. Austin and husband Marc have two sons.
