How do I change my major? BACK TO TOP

Login to Banner Web.
Select Student and Financial Aid Menu > Change of Major Form
Highlight your intended major in the drop down box.
Select “Submit.”
The Advising Center will receive an electronic notification about your request to change your major.
You will receive an e-mail from the Advising Center within three days confirming the new major.
You may also visit the Advising Center to change your major. Be sure to take a photo ID!
On the Gainesville Campus, the Advising Center is located in the Student Activities Building.
On the Oconee Campus, the Advising Center is located in Room 113 in the Administration Building. Please note that an appointment may be necessary to meet with an advisor on the Oconee Campus. Call (706) 310-2290 for more information.

Login to Banner Web.
Select Student and Financial Aid Menu > Student Records > Student Tranguide
Your advisor’s name, office location, and e-mail address are located in the Academic Information section of your Tranguide.

Will my courses from another college transfer to GSC? Will my GSC courses transfer to another Georgia college? BACK TO TOP

Go to the GSC homepage >Prospective Students > Transfer Course Equivalencies
Highlight your previous institution’s state. For example, highlight Alabama if you wish to determine what courses at Auburn University will transfer to GSC. Select “Submit State.”
Highlight your previous institution. Select “Submit Institution.”
If you wish to view all courses that will transfer from your previous institution to GSC, select “Full Report.” If you wish to view the transferability of particular courses only, select “Subject Report,” highlight the appropriate subject area from the drop down box, then select “Submit Subject.”
If your institution or subject is not listed, please contact the Registrar’s Office for assistance at (678) 717-5097.

These listings do not take the place of an official transfer evaluation and all GSC transfer course policies still apply. See the GSC Catalog for more information.
